In your first semester, with your applied teacher’s approval, you may audition to enter the performance degree program in the second semester of the freshman year. Song Book is a set of pieces that are songlike that is, intimate and expressive, though not necessarily quiet. Your performance proficiency will be reviewed at the end of your freshman year for permission to continue. This major is administered by the area of Music in the School of Performing Arts.
